right now its 9.07am in the morning and i just got up
NYC is absolutely absurd
work starts at 10am and i'm just sitting in the living room of the apartment watching the news and eating frosted flakes
and outside the windows i can see bloomingdales and the michael kors store opening their doors. I can hear the revving of engines in the distace and swarms of people line the asphalt sidewalks, impatiently waiting for the stop lights to change
In about 20 minutes i will be walking down broadway making my way to the office and picking up a tall non-fat cappuccino at starbucks along the way
A gagigabillion stores are scattered along broadway: there's a forever 21, urban outfitters, american apparel, express, zara, top shop, duane reade, mac donalds, starbucks, shoe mania, atrium, mango, armani X, Aldo, fcuk. IF ONLY I HAD MONEY.
For work i have to design the header for Sweetriot's newsletter, and then venture into SoHo to visit various stores like wholefoods to check up on our product, all the time with a shit-eating grin on my face.
Then at 1, i have to trek down to 2nd Avenue for sushi with my advisor, before heading to union square to visit 2 more stores
At 5,15pm Shannon and I are catching the screening of up! which came out a million years ago, i know.
Then after that i'll probably take the subway back to the broadway-lafayette station on spring street and work out for a bit
Then at 10pm Charles will probably call me and we'll make a pinkberry run and i'll go to bed at about midnight
And tomorrow my day starts again!
i love new york city- i love the people, the bustling streets, the smog-filled sunsets, the crazies that hog the sidewalk and tell you you're going to hell with the jews. I love the smell of hot asphalt, the way everyone seems to have caffeine running through their vein, the way i haven't experienced a minute of silence since i got here.
So far i've had so many new experiences: like watching the fireworks on the hudson river on the fourth of july. And on friday i'm going to a Met's game and a Yankee's game on friday, Bowling at Chelsea Pier on sunday and the Met (museum) sometime next week, followed by Shrek the broadway musical next friday.
BUTTTT i stil miss everyone in singapore and i can't wait to be hommmmme. I miss milk tea and authentic asian food.

I don't really know what to tell you
this city is nuts
i got lost and landed up in the bronx yesterday and got followed by a creepy black man who asked me for my number
highlight of my afternoon
ummm what else, idk the apartment is pretty sweet it has a retractable roof which is awesome a few people have come over to uh... utilize this facility
And its in SoHo which is SUCH a hipster neighborhood every morning i wake up and i look out my window and there are these super-funky-haircut-hipster-emaciated-clad-in-all-black people sitting on the steps of michael kors smoking. they kind of look like the people who work at Next. except its spelt ne)(t haha
i would put up photos, but i'm too lazy so some other time i suppose
tomorrows the gay pride parade!

| BACKFINALLY DONE WITH SCHOOL
I am resigned to use my time wisely and NOT party
Really i just want a nice quiet summer meeting up with old friends, getting my college shit together and resting up before the brunt of senior fall
I 'm glad this year is over though
I just learnt so much, not even academically but i made some incredible friends that i will never forget
People who made me realize that there are people who genuinely care about my well-being and like me for who i really am
And i actually have been just sitting on my ass for the last 48 hours in the very same sweatpants i wore upon arrival in singapore
i guess i do need to get my shit together and stop watching entourage and sitting in a pile of shit wasting away
but honestly this is heaven compared to the last 9 months of nonstop work and no sleep
i went to bed at 5pm yesterday and actually didn't wake up till 10am
which makes a total of 17 hours non-stop sleep, the most beautiful feeling in the world
